Bio

Anne Elise Teeling is a charming, captivating, and creative soprano based in Chicago, Illinois. She is currently finishing her degree at Northwestern University studying voice with Theresa Brancaccio. Frequenting the stage, she has appeared in featured and chorus roles with the Northwestern Opera Theatre. Most recently, she appeared in the chorus for Strauss's Die Fledermaus. Previous credits at Northwestern include Flora in Britten's Turn of the Screw and the chorus in Handel's Theodora. Equally comfortable with song repertoire and chamber work, she has performed in multiple recitals and concerts and most notably, appeared in a performance with IES Abroad in Vienna singing Delibes' "Le Rossignol." An avid competitor, she was named a semi-finalist in the 2021 online Orpheus Vocal Competition. Passionate about new music, Anne Elise recently worked with composer, Julia Borrelli, on writing the libretto to her original opera, Rumpled Still Kins. In addition to collaborating on the libretto, Anne Elise sang the debut performance of the role, The Girl, for a virtual recital. Anne Elise is originally from Des Moines, Iowa.
