Lyric-coloratura soprano EUN AH ROH made her debut in a fully-staged production as Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute, a role she has gone on to perform with several other companies. Additional performances include portrayals of Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro, Violetta in La Traviata, Voluptua in La Pizza con Funghi, Veronica in Dr. Miracle, among others. Dr. Roh has worked with New York Lyric Opera, Bethesda Summer Music Festival, Baekryeong Opera, S&A Opera, James Madison Opera, Mason Opera, Catholic University of America Opera, and Duquesne Opera. She performed as soprano soloist in Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 and Handel’s Messiah, and has sung on the stages of Carnegie Hall in New York and Pittsburgh, National Opera Center in New York, Seoul Arts Center, Seoul Young-San Arts Center, Baekryeong Arts Center, and more.

Most recently the Grand Prize Winner of the USA Classical Hobbyists International Music

Competition, Dr. Roh also received Second Prize at Concert International Virtuoso Voice

Competition, performing in the Winner’s Concert at Carnegie Hall in New York, and won

Second Prize at the 6th Korea Vocal Competition. Additionally, she was the winner of VANATS voice competition, alternative winner of Pittsburgh Concert Society competition, and the winner of Duquesne Concerto Competition. She received an Outstanding Performance Award from National Association of Professional Asian American Women (NAPAW), and a Certificate of Appreciation from Drug Enforcement Administration, U.S Department of Justice (USDOJ).

Dr. Roh earned the Bachelor of Music degree from Kangwon National University with full scholarship in Korea, and the Master of Music degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh as an opera workshop assistant and was the Rotary Foundation Academic-Years Ambassadorial Scholar. She received the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in voice performance at The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. Dr. Roh also studied and performed in Italy, where she received ‘Beniamino Gigli’ and ‘Lorenzo de’ Medici’ Diploma. Currently, she is an assistant vocal coach of the Washington Metropolitan Women’s Chorus in the National Association of Professional Asian American Women (NAPAW), a co-founder & Managing and Financing director of Pro Voce Washington, and an assistant professor of music at Northern Virginia Community College.
