“Impressively consistent vocal quality through the whole range.” “Beautiful timbre and great range! Very impressive!” was some of the jury’s feedback when Sofie Björck was invited to the second round of the Classical Singer’s competition in the category “Emerging artist” in May 2020.

Swedish soprano Sofie Björck holds a bachelor's in classical singing from one of Sweden's five music colleges and a bachelor's in musicology and history of ideas from Stockholm University, which includes a semester at the University of Sorbonne, Paris.

She recently won a scholarship with Berlin Opera Academy, where she was invited to their summer program to do a role in Suor Angelica and as an understudy for the Sleepfairy in Hans und Gretel. The production has been postponed to summer 2022.

As an actor Sofie Björck is drawn to dramatic roles; however, her voice fach is that of a soubrette-like lyrical coloratura.
