Bio

Ana Beatriz Machado, brazilian soprano, bachelor in Music by the State University of Campinas, Unicamp, was born in Poços de Caldas, where she began her studies in music. In 2009, she joined Unicamp as a singing student under the guidance of Luciano Simoes until 2012, and Angelo Fernandes until the end of her graduation. In 2013 participated in the first “Festival of Opera of the Americas”, singing Frou-Frou from the opera "The Merry Widow". In the same year she sang Pamina, from "Die Zauberflöte" with the Limeira Symphonic Orchestra and the Symphonic Orchestra of Unicamp. In 2014 she sang the role of Susanna, from "Le Nozze di Figaro", also with the Symphony Orchestra of Unicamp. In 2015, she sang Zerlina, from the opera "Don Giovanni", conducted by Abel Rocha. Also in 2015 she won her first singing competition with the "Audience Award" and the prize "Opera Carmen" in the character Frasquita in the 13th Maria Callas Competition. She was soloist of the 9th Symphony of Beethoven in Sala São Paulo, one of the most important concert Rooms in Brazil, under the conduction of Luciano Camargo and won her second singing competition, this time as the best female voice in the VIII Carlos Gomes Competition. She was part of the Opera Academy of Theatro São Pedro, in São Paulo in 2016 and 2017, where she gave life to Miss Wordsworth in the opera Albert Herring, by B. Britten. Also in Theatro São Pedro she could perform the world's premiere of “Il Noce di Benevento”, from Giuseppe Balducci, beeing cover of the most important magazine of the opera’s world “L’Opera”. In 2017 she debut the role of Violetta, from La Traviata. During the years of 2018 and 2019 she made part of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino young artist program and could learn and develop her singing technique with the best teachers and guest singers, such as Jessica Pratt, Bruno de Simone, Giacomo Prestia, Giulio Zappa, Michelle D’Elia and Sonia Ganassi. Between the years of 2018 and 2019. She also won the “Best Voice” award at the “Canta Vinhedo Competition” (2018) and “1st Edmar Ferretti Singing Competition”.

Returning to Brazil, after the dark pandemic years, she was back on stage, this time giving live to her beloved Nedda, in Pagliacci (2022). Now she lives in Germany where she is trying to develop her carrear. Since she has moved, sha has won some important prizes, such as her debut of Cio Cio San, in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, on 2025 in Spain.
