
Casey Schopflocher is a senior in the vocal track at Special Music School in New York City. In addition, he attends The Juilliard Pre-College voice program. A member of The Metropolitan Opera Children’s Chorus for seven years, he performed the role of the Third Spirit in the company’s holiday production of The Magic Flute for three consecutive seasons. He also appeared with The Met as a solo or featured singer in Wozzeck, Tannhauser, and La Damnation de Faust, and as a member of the chorus in productions of Tosca, Turandot, Queen of Spades, Boris Godunov, Carmen, and La Boheme. In 2023, he performed at Early Music America’s annual EMA Summit in Boston and made his Carnegie Hall debut singing the treble solo from Leonard Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms with the New York Choral Society and New York Youth Symphony. That same year, Casey was awarded Most Promising Sophomore in Schmidt’s high school regional competition (Montclair, NJ) and reached the semi-finals round of Classical Singer’s Vocal Competition (Washington, D.C.). In March 2025, he was awarded First Place in the Schmidt Vocal Arts New Jersey competition and was a finalist at Schmidt's High School Nationals competition in Sarasota, FL. Casey has attended summer voice and opera programs at Queens Summer Vocal Institute, Interlochen Arts Camp, Boston University Tanglewood Institute, Schmidt Summer Vocal Institute and the Academie Internationale d'Ete de Nice.
