Bio

Mezzo-Soprano Isabella Daltoso is a current Master of Music in Voice Performance candidate at

Chicago College of Performing Arts (CCPA). She holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Pacific

Lutheran University (PLU) where she was an Agnes Berge Smith Music Scholar, James D.

Holloway Scholar, and a student of Janeanne Houston. With PLU Opera, Isabella performed as

Little Buttercup in HMS Pinafore, Sesto in Giulio Cesare, Dritte Dame in Die Zauberflöte, Prince

Orlofsky in Die Fledermaus, and Ruth in Pirates of Penzance. Isabella was seen at Vashon

Opera as Praskovia/Lolo in The Merry Widow, and in the chorus of Cavalleria Rusticana.

Originally from Vancouver, Washington, Isabella has enjoyed performing with the Vancouver

Symphony Orchestra. In spring of 2023, Isabella traveled to Vienna, Austria, where she

participated in the IES Abroad Music Program as a member of the Music Performance

Workshop. Other recent engagements include Goffredo in Handel’s Rinaldo with Chicago

Summer Opera, Dinah in Trouble in Tahiti with Northwest Sinfonietta, and Rossini’s “La regata

Veneziana” with the PLU Symphony. She was recently featured in CCPA's newly devised opera,

Season of the Witch, and this spring she sang Marcellina in Le nozze di Figaro. She’s been seen with Great Lakes Operetta and at the College Music Society Great Lakes Chapter Confrence where she performed

Douglas Hedwig’s “A Species Stands Beyond.” Upcoming engagements include Suzuki in Madama Butterfly in concert with International Opera Institute, and Third Lady in The Magic Flute with Centralia Opera. She was a semifinalist in the 2025 MIOpera international voice competition. Isabella is a graduate teaching assistant in the Music History Department

at CCPA. She is a current student of Allan Glassman and is coached by Dana Brown
