Bio

Meghan Linnington, a brilliant 17 year-old Mezzo-Soprano and high school senior lives in Claremont, CA. Her passion for performance began in the Children's Chorus for Tulsa Opera's La Boheme in 2015. She has extensive chorus, ensemble and principal part experience. Her wide-ranging repertoire includes operatic arias, German lieder, French chanson, Latin oratorio, modern theatre and many other art songs and sacred anthems. In addition to voice Meghan is an avid student of piano, violin, theory and ballet (point) through programs/schools as noted: the Royal Conservatory of Music (piano, voice, violin, theory), the Claremont Community School of Music (violin, theory), The Colburn School's Community School (violin) and Village Dance Arts (ballet). Her current instructors are Maria Maxfield, D.M.A. of the Met Chorus, Young-Eun Chung of Oral Roberts University (piano), Richard Schwabe B.M., M.M. (vioin) of The Colburn School and Daniel Parks of Claremont Community School of Music (theory). On violin she serves as 2nd violinist with the Claremont Youth Symphony Orchestra as well as principal violinist with a local youth trio. As a vocal artist she has performed in several principal roles as well as in children’s chorus in multiple National Children’s Chorus Vail Opera Camp (VOC), Tulsa Opera (TO), Tulsa Youth Opera (TYO) , Pomona Repertory Opera Company (ROC), San Francisco Opera Summer Conservatory (SFO) and LA Opera Camp (LA) productions as follows:

She has sung the Star Spangled Banner for 2 State Governors and multiple professional sporting events (ex. Tulsa Oilers Hockey, OKC Thunder NBA). She has sung in productions of Benjamin Britten's War Requiem (with the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra) and Leonard Bernstein's Chichester Songs (with the Signature Choral). She has sung at many venues including Carnegie Hall, Mabel Shaw Bridges Hall of Music (Little Bridges), Tulsa Performing Arts Center, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Herbst Theatre, ONEOK Baseball Field, BOK Center, Chesapeake Energy Center, German American Society, Haugh Performing Arts Center, National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, The Sherwin Miller Museum of Jewish Art, Timko-Barton Performance Hall, Promenade Mall (Tulsa), Philbrook Museum of Art, S. Arch Thompson Auditorium, Woodland Hills Mall (Tulsa), Hardesty Arts Center, College du Leman International School (Geneva), Padua Hills Theatre, Trinity United Methodist Church (Pomona), Pilgrim Congregational Church (Pomona), First Christian Church (Pomona), Trinity Episcopal Church (Tulsa) and First United Methodist Church (Tulsa). Most recently Meghan has been invited to sing with La Sierra University's Chamber Singers, and in March 2023 she participated in a Choir Festival with this talented group on the La Sierra University campus.
