Bio

Soprano Ves Morhen has been performing professionally as a solo and chamber vocalist and saxophonist since 2016. Ves toured with the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir for their 2024 performances in Brazil. Ves placed among the top 21 university level singers nationally as a 2023 CS Music Competition Semi-Finalist, and went on to cover the role of Donna Anna as an Artist Fellow at Mozart in the Knobs (New Albany, IN) in the following summer. Ves has performed such roles as Queen of the Night and Second Spirit in The Magic Flute with Butler Opera Theatre, and has sung for masterworks including the Verdi and Mozart Requiems, and the world premiere of Augusta Read Thomas’ Toward a Secret Sky with the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir and the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. A student of Dana Zenobi, Ves is currently teaching and preparing audition packages for performance masters programs. Ves graduated from Butler University with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and has served as the drum major and head of operations for Butler Athletic Bands; Additionally, Ves holds Indiana State Teacher’s licensure to teach choral, instrumental, and general music for grades K-12. Ves plans to enroll in master of music programs for the fall of 2026.
