Bio

Hello, my name is Alicia Chu. I am a 16-year-old junior in high school and also a Juilliard Pre-College student majoring in voice.

I started singing in a local chorus when I was seven and started private vocal instruction when I was ten. Three months later, I won a singing competition and was invited to perform at Carnegie Hall. My singing journey has only grown since then. My recent accolades include the National 2nd place award for the Lower High School Classical division of the NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) competition in July 2022, and the national 3rd place Senior Voice winner of the MTNA(Music Teacher National Association) competition in March 2022. Additionally, I was awarded the Most Promising Sophomore Award at Schmidt Vocal Competition in May 2022.

In my free time, I enjoy dancing, playing piano, guitar, and ukulele, as well as spending time with my family and friends.
