Catherine Young, from Oxford, UK, was awarded scholarships to train at the Royal Academy of Music and the Royal College of Music before joining English National

Opera for nine Seasons, as a Mezzo soprano studying with Tim Evans-Jones. She has performed all over the UK, including the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden; London Coliseum; Royal Festival Hall and the Royal Albert Hall, among others. She has sung under the batons of Sir Mark Elder, Edward Gardner OBE, Mark Wigglesworth, Eun Sun Kim, Leo Hussein and Placido Domingo.
