Clémence Hicks began her musical studies at the age of five at the Claude Debussy Conservatory in St. Germain-en-Laye, where she studied violin. At the age of ten, she joined the conservatory's maîtrise and began a singing-study program, which she continued until the end of high school. She graduated from Harvard University, where she was a member of the Harvard Radcliffe Collegium Musicum. Clémence then trained with soprano Gabriella Ravazzi at the Accademia Spazio Musica in Genoa, leading to her debut at the Teatro Mancinelli in Orvieto as Despina in W.A. Mozart's Così Fan Tutte.
Clémence has performed the roles of Angelina (La Cenerentola by G. Rossini), Rosina (Barbiere di Siviglia by G. Rossini), Cherubino and Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro by W.A. Mozart), Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni by W.A. Mozart), Lola (Cavalleria Rusticana by P. Mascagni), and Ciesca (Gianni Schicchi by G. Puccini), Suzuki (Madama Butterfly by G. Puccini), Tonina (Prima la musica e poi le parole by A. Salieri).
In December 2024, she won the prize for the best interpretation of a French aria at the Concours V. Bellini Competition in Vendôme. The same month, she won 2nd prize at the Ottavio Garaventa Competition in Genoa. At the G. Enesco Competition in Paris, she won 1st Prize and the Enesco Prize for interpretation of a melody, in the grand amateurs section. In 2023 and 2024 she won prizes for the roles of Donna Elvira and Angelina at the Spazio Musica Competition in Orvieto.
Clémence gives numerous concerts, including a recent lyric gala at Lisbon's Théâtre National São Carlos and UNESCO in Paris.
