Bio

Sarah Mendelsohn is an accomplished, passionate, and committed vocalist. Now a senior, Sarah has consistently trained and participated in vocal arts and theater since she was seven. As she heads into her senior year, Sarah is eager to continue her passion collegiately.

Sarah is extremely active in the arts both inside and outside of her high school.

For the last three years, Sarah has been professionally trained by Marla Jones, Vocal Teacher. Working with Ms. Jones, Sarah now completed through level five of the Music Teachers Association of California (MTAC) Certificate of Merit Program.

At Oaks Christian, Sarah spent her freshman and sophomore years participating in the Institute of Arts and Innovation. She is a member of OC Voices (So, Jr, and Sr years), the select performing arts group. She is also a member of the a cappella team which placed at the National A Capella Championships in 2023. Sarah will also participate in the school's theater program as a lead in the 2023/2024 production of Little Women.

Sarah is one of the featured performers at “Creative Arts Theater Space” (CATS), a select theater group in West Los Angeles affiliated with Crossroads High School and has been consistently performing with them since 2018 with lead roles in musical productions: Carrie, Spring Awakening, Xanadu, Song of a New World, Into the Woods.

Sarah exercises her passion for performing arts more than on-stage. Sarah has consistently volunteered as backstage crew for performances in high school and in the community. Sarah has taught young children at her church summer camp and this summer, she will share her love of music as a volunteer at Joni and Friends, an organization that focuses on families navigating the challenges of disability.
