Angela Zhou is a sixteen-year-old sophomore at Johns Creek High School in Alpharetta, Georgia who has found great passion in music and is specifically involved in singing and performing. For over five years, under the guidance and instruction of Teacher Qian Li, Angela has been actively involved and is incredibly grateful for the opportunities she has had to explore both classical music and musical theater. In 2024, she was honored to receive First Prize with Honors at the USA Classical Music International Competition and First Place in the Classical Repertoire Category of the American Protégé International Vocal Competition, along with being able to perform at Carnegie Hall for her accomplishments. In addition to these achievements, Angela is excited to be nominated for the Governor’s Honor Program in Georgia: Voice (Soprano) and is looking forward to continuing to the next round.
Beyond the classical stage, Angela has had the joy of performing in over ten musicals, including Moana Jr., The Addams Family, Honk Jr., and Mamma Mia. Her engagement in chorus since third grade has not only allowed her to collaborate with other singers but also provided her with valuable experiences that have shaped her musical journey to where she is now and who she is as an artist. This has given her a deep appreciation for the magic of live theater, where music and storytelling come together.
