Show Synopsis:
Danny?s uncle forces him to move from New York City to the West so that he can experience a life with less luxury and fewer girls to distract him. The Westerners, especially the cowboy leader Lank, are not fond of Danny, and he is not fond of them. He becomes friendly with Molly the postmistress and in an effort to impress her, he decides to make Buzzard?s Ranch into a fancy, boisterous dude ranch with dancing, good food, swimming pools, girls and tennis. When the dude ranch is a success, Danny decides to also open up a night club with a troupe of girls performing for the men. Molly and Danny confess that they?re attracted to each other, but Molly is hesitant to give her heart to someone with such a history of being a playboy. Danny?s old prep school rival Sam shows up unexpectedly and pretends to be interested in Molly to best Danny and tell her terrible things about him. Lank tells Danny he plans on being the next sheriff and making him leave town. Danny gets his friend Louie to run for sheriff, but after he wins, Lank threatens to kill him and Louie goes into hiding. Danny gets angry at Sam for stealing his wallet with the last of his money and threatens to hurt him, and when Sam turns up injured, Danny is immediately suspected. Louie learns the basics of hypnosis and bests Lank, Sam wakes up and reveals that Lank and his sidekick Pete beat him up in an attempt to steal Danny?s wallet, and Danny tells Molly that he plans on staying out West and reconciles with her.

"Old Man Sunshine, listen, you,?
Never tell me dreams come true,
Just try it, and I'll start a riot,
Beatrice Fairfax don't you dare,
Ever tell me she will care,
I'm certain it's the final curtain.??
Don't want to hear from and cheerful Pollyannas
Who tell me love will find a way, it's all bananas.?
They're writing songs of love, but not for me.?
A lucky star's above, but not for me,?
With love to lead the way, ?I found more clouds of grey?Than any Russian play could guarantee.
??I was a fool to fall, and get that way,?
Hi ho! Alas! And also Lack a day!
?Although I can't dismiss,
The memory of her kiss, ?I guess she's not for me.??
It all began so well, but what an end,?
This is the time a fella needs a friend?
When every happy plot?
Ends in a marriage knot?
And there's no knot for me."
