Über'm Garten, durch die Lüfte
Above-the garden, through the air(s)

Hört' ich Wandervögel zieh'n.
Heard I migrating-birds travel.  

Das bedeutet Frühlingsdüfte, 
That means Spring-fragrances,

Unten fängt's schon an zu blüh'n.
Below begins it already to bloom.

Jauchzen möcht' ich, möchte weinen,
To-shout want I, want-to weep,

Ist mir's doch, als könnt's nicht sein!
Is to-me-it but, as could-it not be!

Alte Wunder wieder scheinen
Ancient miracles again shine

Mit dem Mondesglanz herein.
With the moonlight in.

Und der Mond, die Sterne sagen's,
And the moon, the stars say it,

Und im Traume rauscht's der Hain,  
And in the dreams rustles the grove,

Und die Nachtigallen schlagen's:
And the nightingales chant-it:

"Sie ist deine, sie ist dein!"
"She is yours, she is yours!"
