Song Synopsis:
Zymah narrates the real story of the creation of the world that has never been told. There was a huge crowd of people in the Garden of Eden who were impacted by Eve giving Adam an apple, causing the battle of the sexes to begin. Zymah tells them that they must hunt and gather their own food, and when the men try to tell the women that they should stay at camp and take care of the children, the women leave. Arielle stays because she is still confused about who she is and why she has been created. Romer and Ben talk about what they should name the tools they hunt with and talk about the women they have found themselves attracted to - Romer to Arielle and Ben to Mavis. Back at camp, Arielle meets a man named Avi who helps her carrying water because he does not believe in differentiating duties between the sexes. When Arielle does not respond to Romer?s flirtations, he kisses Lydia and then tells everyone else to go with him to another place where there will be more people, food, and money. Avi joins their group after saving an unconscious Zeke. As time goes on in the new community, money corrupts everybody?s values. Romer tries to persuade Arielle to marry him but she refuses because she loves Avi. It begins to rain (because it is time for The Great Flood) and Mavis and Ben argue about how much Mavis loves her possessions. The townspeople jump into barrels to survive the flood, and some time later, Arielle has a baby boy. Avi is reluctant to be a father but finds he loves the boy. Seven years later, the townspeople pack up to go to Egypt and live with the people of Abraham, but they find themselves slaves. They begin to endure plagues send by Zymah, and Avi, Romer, and Ben escape with them. Arielle reads a book while the other women in the town are excited by an orgy happening outside until God tells them to stop. Romer tells Arielle that Avi is actually Cain, the first murderer. Avi leaves and Romer promises to take care of her and her son. Zymah, who Avi realizes is God, cannot judge him yet, but blesses him. Avi admits to the townspeople that he is Cain, but he wants to share the Ten Commandments with them for a better life. The townspeople prepare to cross the Jordan together.

"The garden,
It was everything to me.
We had no fears
Spring was the only season.
The fruit hung heavy down from every tree.
It would not be so strange,
To live within this change.
If somehow I could understand the reason.

Is someone out there?
Am I alone?
Is someone else in the great unknown?
Is there a force, far beyond my view?
Is someone out there?
Could that be true?

Is someone out there,
Beyond the sky?
Is there home where these words can fly?
Is there a heart that might understand?
Is someone out there to take my hand?
Worlds forever changing every day now
Nothing ever seems to stay the same.
Who?d be there if I should lose my way now?
Does someone else know my name?

Is there someone out there?
Show me a sign.
Have you a plan
That could be divine?
Have you a voice
That will tell me so?
Is someone out there?
Is someone out there?
Show me a sign.
Have you a plan
That could be divine?
Have you a voice
That will tell me so?
Is someone out there?
Is someone out there?
I have to know!"
