Fun Facts: 1) This adaptation of the fairytale of Cinderella was originally a movie musical starring Julie Andrews. 2) Despite the story and score's popularity, Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella did not come to Broadway until 2013, when it debuted a new book and several new songs. 3) In an interview with Stagedoor Dish, Laura Osnes, who played Cinderella in the 2013 Broadway revival, described Cinderella as ?more meek and mild in a way [than Osnes?s previous Broadway role, Bonnie Parker in Bonnie & Clyde] but it?s because of the way she was brought up and her surroundings and the life that she?s living at the moment because when she?s able to break free of that, in our version, she?s known for her kindness and her charity and her generosity and obviously that?s more of the person I want to strive to be than someone like Bonnie Parker."
