With the soap of the moon

Au bord du lavoir mordoré
Next to the washhouse of golden brown

Qu'on voit, là-bas, luire entre les branches...
That one sees, over there, gleaming between the branches?

On lui lance à coeur de journée
Somebody her throws at all threw the day 

Une pâture de pistols
A grazing of pistols

Qui la traversent sans lui profiter
Which her traverse without her to benefit

Et s'en vont sonner
And they go ringing

Dans les cabinets
In the compartments

De son piédestal numéroté!
Of her pedestal numbered!

Et le soir, les insectes couchant
