Show Synopsis: Gerard Carriere loses his position as head of the Paris Opera House and cannot protect Erik, the Phantom born and raised in the catacombs under the opera house. The Phantom is in love with a street singer named Christine and he starts to train her for the opera, though she may never see him. The Count Philippe de Chandon helps get Christine a minor job with the Opera, and she eventually gets to sing with company. The new Opera House manager's diva wife Carlotta becomes jealous of Christine, and Erik brings Christine to his underground lair and electrocutes Carlotta. Carriere tells Christine that he is Erik's father and Christine is disgusted by Erik's true face. Carriere helps Christine escape and tells Erik that he will never be captured and put on display for his disfigurement. The police come to capture Erik and when he is trapped, he asks Carriere, whom he has always known to be his father, to help him escape, and he understands and shoots his son to death. Character: Christine, a poor and beautiful street singer looking for a way out of the streets. Erik, a man disfigured from birth who has never known much friendship or kindness and loves music more than anything else in the world until he meets Christine. Fun Facts: 1.
