Exsultate, jubilate,
Exult, rejoice,

o vos animae beatae!
Oh you souls blessed!

Dulcia cantica canendo,
Sweet songs singing,

cantui vestro respondendo,
The singing yours responding,

psallant aethera cum me.
Sings heaven with me.

Fulget amica dies,
Shines the friendly day,

iam fugere et nubila et procellae;
now have fled both clouds and storms;

exortus est justis inexspectata quies.
Arisen has for the just unforeseen calm.

Undique obscura regnabat nox;
Everywhere dark had reigned night;
surgite tandem laeti,
arise at last happy,

qui timuistis adhuc,
you who feared until now,

et iucundi aurorae fortunatae
and pleased with the dawn fortunate

frondes dextera plena et lilia date.
Fronds with right hand full and lilies give.
