Bonnie is a waitress who dreams of being an actress, and Clyde is on the run from prison. They meet on the road and decide to pursue their dreams - hers of fame and his of money - together. They visit Clyde?s brother Buck, who broke out of prison with him, but Clyde gets angry when Buck tells him that his wife Blanche has encouraged him to do the right thing and go back to jail. Clyde is caught and sent back to prison, where is abused and murders someone. Bonnie, who has revealed her love for him, smuggles a gun into Clyde?s cell so that he can kill a deputy and escape. They begin their infamous life of crime, but after Clyde murders another man, Bonnie has second thoughts about the kind of life she wants. Buck tries to convince Blanche that they should join Bonnie and Clyde in their life of adventure, but Blanche is not enthusiastic. Bonnie and Clyde begin to rob banks instead of just stores, but Clyde is injured during a robbery and they have to go into hiding until he recovers. Buck and Blanche go to them, but after Buck and Clyde rob a bank, they are ambushed by the authorities and Buck is killed. Clyde and Bonnie escape, but Officer Ted knows where they are headed, and he reluctantly tells the sheriff their whereabouts, despite his love for Bonnie. Bonnie and Clyde head back towards Dallas to see their parents one last time and accept that their happy time together will be up soon. They are killed on the road by the police.

Fun Facts:
1. This musical was based on real life events involving Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow.
2. Laura Osnes originated the role of Bonnie on Broadway and said in a TimeOut NY interview that she had ?always played naive ingenues, and it?s really fun to change it up and be someone completely different. This role lets me explore that darker sensual side, and I also get to sing in a new style.? She said that the musicals allows people to ?see [the duo] as real people. They didn?t kill and rob because they were on a crazy rampage, they did it to survive.?
3. The actual Bonnie Parker worked as a waitress in a diner in Dallas with her mother after divorcing her first husband Roy Thornton.

"How bout a dance? What do you say?
I?ve got some moves that I?d love to show you.
Let?s find a spot and dance the night away.

How ?bout a dance? It?s always fun.
Come over here. Let me get to know you.
Can?t beat a band to lift your spirits high.
You look so handsome.

How ?bout a dance? Let?s make a start.
Music like this can really throw you.
You?ll lose the blues, and you may lose your heart.

Tonight is the night I?ve been waiting for.
Even the moon looks just right.
I?m sure the crowd will make room on the floor
When they see you look like you do.

So how ?bout a dance? Let?s make a start.
Music like this can really throw you.
You?ll lose the blues, and you may lose your heart.
You?ll lose the blues, and you may lose your heart."
