Show Synopsis: Bobby, an aspiring dancer from a rich family, goes to a small town in Nevada to foreclose a theater and meets Polly Baker. Polly is the only woman in the old gold-mining town, and her father owns the theater and refuses to have it bought out because he misses his memories of the theater with Polly?s deceased mother. Bobby and Polly start to fall in love because Polly does not know Bobby is the one closing her father?s theater. Bobby decides to put on a show in theater to pay off the mortgage instead of exposing himself as the man closing it, but when Polly discovers his secret, he disguises himself as the famous Broadway director Mr. Zangler. Bobby asks Follies Girls on vacation from their follies in New York to perform in the show, which the men in town love. Bobby?s fiancé Irene arrives unexpectedly just as Polly realizes she?s in love with ?Mr. Zangler.? Very few people come to the show but the people in the town are lively again. The real director Mr. Zangler arrives in the town and exposes Bobby?s ruse to Polly, who is angry. Bobby rejects Irene and the townspeople decide to stop running the show, so he leaves for New York. Bobby receives Mr. Zangler?s old theater but misses Deadrock, Nevada, so he goes to visit just as Polly leaves to look for him in New York and discovers that the show has continued on without him. Polly returns when her driver runs out of gas and she is reunited with Bobby. Character: Polly Baker, a well-liked young ?All-American? girl.
