Show Synopsis:
The fairies of the kingdoms of King Hubert and King Stefan have come to bless King Stefan's newborn baby, who is betrothed to King Hubert's son Philip to unite the kingdoms. The evil fair Maleficent is angry to be uninvited, and she curses the princess to die from pricking her finger on a spindle before the sunset of her sixteenth birthday. The good fairy Merryweather reverses part of the curse, so that Aurora will go into a deep sleep that she will wake from upon the event of true love's kiss. Merryweather and her sisters Flora and Fauna steal Aurora away to an isolated cottage, where she grows up not knowing that she is a princess, and on her sixteenth birthday, she accidentally meets Philip in the forest. They begin to fall for each other, but all Philip knows of her is where her cottage is, and that his father will not approve of his marrying a peasant girl who lives in the forest. Maleficent finally succeeds in locating Aurora after sixteen years and leads her to a secret room with a spindle, and after pricking her finger, Aurora falls into a deep sleep. The fairies grieve and cast a spell on the rest of the kingdom so that everyone will sleep until Aurora wakes. Philip goes to Aurora's cottage and is captured by Maleficent, but the fairies find out that Philip loves Aurora and frees him. They give him the Sword of Truth and the Shield of Virtue, and Philip battles and kills Maleficent before kissing Aurora and waking her and the rest of the kingdom. Aurora reunites with her parents and she and Philip live happily ever after.

"I know you
I walked with you once upon a dream.
I know you-
The gleam in your eyes is so familiar a gleam.
Yes, I know it's true,
That visions are seldom all they seem.
But if I know you, I know what you'll do.
You'll love me at once,
the way you did once upon a dream."
