Show Synopsis:
Oliver is thrown out of the London workhouse where he has spent his young life and sold to an undertaker as an apprentice. Oliver starts a fight with another employee named Noah and escapes from the undertaker. While on the streets, Oliver meets the Artful Dodger, who invites him to live in the lair of the elderly criminal Fagin, who teachers young boys to pick pocket the citizens of London. They tell Dodger that they make handkerchiefs for a living and introduce him to Nancy, a slightly older pick pocket dating the abusive Bill Sikes. Dodger and Charley accidentally frame Oliver to be arrested on his first pick pocketing job. The man whom they were robbing, Mr. Brownlow, takes Oliver in, but Fagin, Nancy, and the boys kidnap him back so that he does not betray the lair?s whereabouts. The workhouse owners Mr. Bumble and the Widow Corney meet a pauper who tell them about Oliver?s mother and give them a golden locket she left behind. They go to Mr. Brownlow, who has been advertising all over the city looking for Oliver, in search of a reward for information. Mr. Brownlow throws them out but sees a picture of his niece inside the locket and realizes that Oliver is related to him. Nancy tells Mr. Brownlow she will help bring Oliver back to him, but Bill follows them and kills Nancy. He holds Oliver hostage but the police save Oliver and reunite him with his grand-uncle Mr. Brownlow. Fagin decides to reform and retire from a life of crime.

Lyrics:
Where is love?
Does it fall from skies above?
Is it underneath the willow tree
That I've been dreaming of?
Where is she?
Who I close my eyes to see?
Will I ever know the sweet hello
That's meant for only me?
Who can say where she may hide?
Must I travel far and wide?
'Til I am beside the someone who
I can mean something to.
Where, where is love?
Who can say where she may hide?
Must I travel far and wide?
'Til I am beside the someone who
I can mean something to.
Where?
Where is love?
