Bio

Nick Novellin is a second year student at Monroe Community College. He has enjoyed music and performing since he was very young. His future goals include completing his bachelor's degree with a major in Vocal Performance/Opera in college and then hopefully one day performing at the Met. Some of the groups with which he performs include the Roc City Singers, Robert Shewan Chorale, Artists Unlimited (Vocal Support,) and Roberts Wesleyan High School Honors Choir. Some of his stage roles have included Oronte (Alcina), Baker (Into the Woods,) Lord Farquaad (Shrek,) Link (Hairspray,) Sr. Pirelli (Sweeney Todd,) and Sebastian (The Little Mermaid.) He has performed Handel's Messiah (tenor solo and chorus), Mozart's Requiem (chorus), and Handel's Solomon (tenor solo) with the Rochester Oratorio Society, the National Anthem at school and community events, sung at weddings and funerals, cantored at St. Charles Borromeo Church, performed in Italy, and has had the privilege of singing back-up to Lou Gramm with the Roc City Singers. He studies voice with Hannah Harrow at Eastman School of Music Community Music School, in addition to prior training with Dr Marc Weagraff, Judith Ranaletta, Carl Wager, and Dr. Robert Shewan. He plays piano, guitar, bass guitar, clarinet, and ukulele. Nick earned the Eagle Scout rank in Boy Scouts. (Look for his second concert to benefit Golisano Children’s Hospital coming soon!) Nick loves the outdoors and spending time with friends and family. Nick is grateful for all those who have supported his dream, especially his teachers and his parents.
