Vadstena-Akademien

Vadstena-Akademien invites applications for scholarships from young classical singers (sopranos, altos/counter tenors, tenor, barytone) for the summer of 2021 (production with music composed 1700 in Venice).

Applicants should have begun an advanced course of study in voice,

or have equivalent experience, and are born 1986 or later.

Preparation:

The jury would like you to prepare 2 arias.

1. One of the following arias

Harpsichord a1=415 Hz

Gelinda -Soprano- Aria and Recitative - Nr 80-81

Adelasio - Soprano - Recitative and Aria - Nr 23, 60

Eritrea - Soprano - Recitative and Aria - Nr 90-91

Eritrea - Soprano - Recitative and Aria - Nr 36-37

Adelasio - Soprano - Recitave and Aria - Nr 23, 79

Arieno - Alto - Recitative and Aria - Nr 63-64

Arieno - Alto - Recitative and Aria

Vitejo and Adelasio - Tenor - Recitative and Aria 69, 46-47

Telesio - Bariton - Recitative and Duet

2. One aria with da capo of your own choice by Vivaldi, Handel or N Porpora.

Please send the music material to mariangiola.martello@gmail.com 5 days before your audition at the latest if you want to audition live in Stockholm.

Application form on website. Send this form together with your CV to apply@vadstena-akademien.org by November 11 at the latest if you want to audition Stockholm.

When you have been accepted to the audition you will receive an email with all necessary information including Corona safety.

A harpsichordist is at your disposal for the audition.

If you are unable to attend the audition in Stockholm please send your video application, your CV and the form at the latest by November 30.
