Loyola Marymount University invites applications for a full-time, tenure track faculty appointment as Assistant Professor of Music and Director of Choral Activities. The department seeks an active Director/Performer/Scholar with documentation of engaging and critically informed choral rehearsal techniques and artistically distinctive choral performances, the ability to develop choral tone and blend in ensembles comprising current music majors/minors, current non-majors, alumni, and community members, a breadth of knowledge of choral repertoire that supports practical application of performance practice in all style periods, and evidence of potential to develop a national reputation through creative activities and scholarly research.

Qualified applicants must have a completed DMA or PhD in Choral Conducting, Choral Music, or Sacred Music. ABD applicants will be considered with expectation that all degree requirements will be completed by December 15, 2024. The position will begin on August 15, 2025.
