Application for our 2021 training programmes are officially open. We’re using YAP Tracker to manage applications, but make sure you read all of the instructions below to make sure your application is complete.
Here’s where we are with plans for our 2021 summer training: if we know one thing for sure it’s that it will not be like any other summer with BYO.
We are however planning for something very similar to our traditional summer seasons to start in July, with performances sometime in August. It’ll all be COVID-secure, so just like everyone else at the moment we’ll be using a slightly non-traditional setup. Repertoire will probably be drawn from this shortlist:
Handel: Acis and Galatea
Humperdinck: Hänsel und Gretel
Puccini: La bohème
Purcell: Dido and Aeneas
Rossini: L’occasione fa il ladro
We’ll also be running week-long workshops at Easter and during the summer. Plus our brand new Serena Fenwick Programme will draw it’s 2021-2022 participants from people who took part in BYO this season.
That’s about as much as we’re able to say at the moment, but we promise you we’re planning a substantial training programme for next summer, which will include staged performances. Obviously when we can tell you more we will.
So that means we’re opening applications now. Needless to say they’re a bit different, but by submitting an application you’ll be considered for the summer programme as well as workshops we’re hoping we’ll be able to run throughout the year.
Applications are being processed through YapTracker.com. Appl deadline: Jan 5, 2021.
