Soprano Hanna Park is a South Korean lyric soprano who recently completed her Master of Opera at the Carl Maria von Weber University of Music in Dresden, Germany, under the guidance of Professors Hendrikje Wangemann and Olaf Bär. She has now commenced her studies in the university’s prestigious Meisterklassenexamen (Concert Exam) program. She earned her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Sookmyung Women’s University in Seoul.
Known for her warm timbre and expressive musicality, Hanna has performed extensively in both opera and concert settings. Her operatic roles include Sophie Scholl in Die Weiße Rose (Zimmermann) at the State Theater Dresden, La Contessa in Le nozze di Figaro (Mozart) in Korea, and a soprano chorister in Wagner’s Der fliegende Holländer with Landesbühnen Sachsen. She has also appeared as a soloist in Mendelssohn’s Hör mein Bitten and taken part in contemporary music projects such as Thomas Buchholz’s Goldberg – Der unsichtbare Klang and *Christoph Rolfes’ Hirschfeld at the Michaelstein Monastery.
In addition to her operatic engagements, Hanna has appeared in numerous Liederabende and opera gala concerts across Germany and South Korea, where she has been praised for her refined interpretation and elegant stage presence.
In 2024, Hanna was awarded 1st Prize in the Opera Category at the 58th Antonín Dvořák International Singing Competition, along with the “Most Beautiful Voice” and “Best Interpretation of a Czech Aria” special prizes. In July 2025, she will appear as a Finalist at the 11th Concorso Lirico Internazionale di Portofino, where she has been awarded the Special Prize “Eva Kleinitz Award.” She has participated in masterclasses with esteemed artists including Carolina Ullrich, Malcolm Martineau, Nikola Hillebrand, and Alexander Fleischer.
Fluent in German and English, Hanna Park continues to develop her career in Europe, celebrated for her lyrical voice, artistry, and emotional sincerity on stage.
