DaShawn Williams is a young, versatile and exciting performer! He began as a singer taking lessons at 13yrs old with Dr. Dana Zenobi, it was this moment he fell in love with opera and musical theatre. DaShawn entered, and dominated, the competition circuit in both classical and musical theatre categories, proving that he has the capability to cross-over seamlessly.
DaShawn's versatility spans beyond the discipline of vocal artistry. As one of the youngest players, DaShawn made his legitimate-acting debut as Caliban from Shakespeare's "Tempest" in Texas All-state One Act, where he would go on to win "Best Male Actor" at district level then "Best Supporting Actor" at regional level. A late bloomer, he began training in dance at 16yrs old, however he would continue more rigorous training as a dance minor at University of Michigan and catapulted into professional dancing with Carnival Cruise Lines.
When it comes to electrifying the stage and owning the space, Mr. Williams holds no punches. Not solely because of his uniquely powerful tenor instrument, but rather the advanced level of intentional energy displayed across all disciplines. Due to his high level background in sports/athletics, DaShawn personifies the word "Disciplined" in regards to a solid work ethic. Though a younger artist, DaShawn spent years dedicated to developing said artistry and boasts the official title of a triple-threat. The journey of his young (seasoned) career holds no bounds!
